Weaver.

I turn raw materials like Hemp, Linen, Nettle + Wool into beautiful, unique, sculptural clothing + accessories.

I only use natural dyes + natural fibres in my products, while the materials are ethically sourced from Japan, Australia or India.

Ethical + sustainable production is important to me, it is at the heart of what I create + how I create it.

Natural
Dyes.

The Whispering Weaver studio produces Naturally dyed garments + accessories. Colour derived from plants, some locally foraged, lichens, fungi and minerals; like mud-dyes. Linen garments are mud dyed + Wool socks are plant dyed.

Natural
Fibres.

Natural Fibres have been traditionally used around the world forever. They provide absolute comfort + offer an environmentally preferred alternative to human made fibres.

All of the products that emerge from the Whispering Weaver studio are made from 100% natural fibres.

Saori Weaving.

Saori Weaving originated in Japan. Probably best described as free weaving, the weaver is left to freely weave with no restrictions, no rules and no mistakes, resulting in the addition of the weaver’s true self woven into the cloth.

All Whispering Weaver hand woven garments are woven in the Saori style, resulting in bespoke, one off garments ~ each piece becoming a wearable work of art.
